Printer Offline
Issue:
Your computer says the printer is offline, even though it’s powered on.
Problem Cause:
This issue is often related to:
- Printer being in “Use Printer Offline” mode
- Disconnected or changed network (for Wi-Fi printers)
- Spooler service glitches or outdated drivers
Solutions:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and:
- Select “Set as default printer”
- Uncheck “Use Printer Offline”
- Restart both your computer and printer.
- For Wi-Fi printers: reconnect the device to the correct network.
- Clear the print queue and restart the Print Spooler service:

- Update or reinstall printer drivers from the manufacturer’s website.
